Sugar cane tableware - durable, versatile and compostable

Packaging, plates or bowls made of sugar cane are an advantageous alternative to traditional disposable packaging and tableware. Despite the fact that the raw material needed for its production is often just burned or thrown away, it is possible to continue to produce ecological products from it. After use, tableware made from sugarcane residues is fully compostable. Menu boxes and tableware made of sugar cane are a purely natural product based on renewable resources and therefore environmentally friendly.

Sugar cane - an ecological basis

The basic raw material for sugar cane tableware is residual sugar cane fibers, which are a by-product of sugar production. During the production of 100 tons of sugar, up to 34 tons of this residual raw material is produced. During the subsequent processing of sugarcane fibers, they are finely chopped and prepared into the form of cellulose mash. The mass is then pressed under high pressure and temperature into sugar cane dishes and containers. No subsequent treatment, impregnation or coating of the surface of the products is necessary. All properties suitable for tableware and menu boxes, such as strength and resistance to liquid and greasy content, are obtained naturally by the properties of the raw material itself - sugar cane fibers.

Sugar cane containers - convenient, functional multi-purpose

We have already written about the fact that sugar cane products have many positive properties and perfectly fulfill the purpose for which they are intended. Resistance to greasy or liquid content is part of the functional requirements they fulfill. However, they are also very practical, light and easy to handle by the operator and your customers. The surface of the sugar cane tableware does not peel off pieces and it is possible to cut the dishes served on them - for example, with disposable cutlery from our offer. In addition to their ecological origin, sugarcane products are also cost-effective. All these characteristics of the tableware from our offer make it an advantageous, functionally capable and versatile element complementing your offer with the attractive appearance of plates and bowls, or the practicality of menus and burger boxes.

Sugar cane in accordance with DIN EN 13432

Unlike ordinary disposable dishes, which are impregnated and coated with artificial substances, sugarcane dishes are an exclusively natural, fully compostable product. Compostability in accordance with the DIN EN 13432 standard means that the sugarcane products we offer will break down into their basic organic substances in an industrial composting plant within 90 days.
