Disposable food packaging made from sugar cane has extraordinary properties. They are resistant to high and low temperatures, are water resistant, grease resistant and do not release any substances from them into the food. They are made from the by-product of sugar cane processing, which is created during the production of sugar. This mass is processed into pulp and pressed. Products made from it are not coated with any other material. After use, they are compostable according to DIN EN 13432.
Please note that this material naturally transmits water vapor. This can subsequently condense on a cooler surface, for example on a table, which can appear as a leak. However, it is not actually a leak. This phenomenon is natural and manifests itself more with liquid hot foods. In practice, this means that, for example, a bowl filled with boiling soup left on the table for a longer time will become wet from below (condensed steam) and in extreme cases it can reduce the strength of the bottom of the bowl. By applying pressure from a spoon or cutlery, the bowl or plate can be broken and the contents spilled.
