Compostable packaging can be made from various materials

The raw materials used for the production of our gastro packaging are based, for example, on cellulose, from which paper (cardboard) compostable packaging is made. They may or may not have a bio coating on the inside. This is usually an applied bioplastic (PLA), which prevents leakage of liquid foods and is also ecological. Another raw material is sugar cane, the so-called bagasse, more precisely pulp produced from secondary raw material after the processing of sugar cane for sugar production - fibers from sugar cane stalks. Our gastro packaging for food and foodstuffs is compostable

In the details of our products, you can see whether the gastro packaging is compostable. Some products are biodegradable. Others that are, or contain PLA components, are compostable according to DIN EN 134232, which means that they decompose within 90 days in an industrial composting plant and are certified to do so.
