Zero waste is a great idea of leading ecologists, which is supposed to serve for the maximum reduction of waste. Despite the fact that today we separate plastic waste, only 9% of it is recycled, which is an alarming figure. Statistically, one inhabitant in Slovakia produces up to 400 kg of waste per year. Waste often ends up in illegal landfills, which is rapidly destroying our planet. This is also why the Zero waste initiative is so relevant and important nowadays.
